Imagine for a second some of the best music from the 90’s, mainstream or independent, whatever you were listening to just over a decade ago, and give it a jump-start for the modern day. That would be a close representation of The Neutron Drivers’ music. Their range is amazing, from the softer sounds that make the songs flow brilliantly to the heavy rock that makes you bang your head and pump your fist in the air. “All Around the Sun” stands out as a clear and present favorite, which is probably due to the slightly faster, hooky beat. The variety of the songs make it hard to choose a favorite, very much like your favorite band or artist, where it’s hard to choose a favorite because each song plays to a different part of the listener.
The one thing that truly sets the Neutron Drivers apart from other indie artists is the vocals. It takes confident vocalists to be able to project above the volume of the music, which many indie bands overlook. All the vocals at work amongst the Neutron Drivers do this amazingly well, especially in “Time and Time Again.” Fans of rock from any point in the past two decades, probably even farther back than that, have got to check out the Neutron Drivers.
