    Titus Andronicus

    By: Alex Lary

    Rating: 7.5/11

Titus Andronicus are a fun, loud and surprisingly poppy sounding group from Glen Rock, NJ. Their sound has just as much energy as their onstage presence, their band including a varying number of members ranging from three to eleven. They are definitely inspired by Arcade Fire but combine that chorus-y, multi-instrumental sound with so many other influences it wouldn't be right to say they are a follower. Sometimes they scream, sometimes they chant, sometimes they clap, and sometimes they sound like The Dropkick Murphys played a role in their youth.  Yet somehow, the combination of all that actually works rather well together, and their live shows are inviting for drunks of all types. Who would of thought something from New Jersey could lift your spirits instead of bumming you out? Not me.
