RnR returns to Bar Matchless on Sunday, July 15th with our "Backwoods Brunch" featuring local writers and musicians all afternoon long.  Prairie Empire will be headlining with their catchy pop/folk led by the "autoharp- and mountain dulcimer-playing siren" Brittain Asher.  Aussy Christopher Burns will show off the Outback's version of backwoods folk, while writers Melissa Faliveno and Cassie Hay will be reading some of their fun, slightly creepy and always entertaining nonfiction stories set in Middle America. Sadly, sax master Ben Jaffe of the Brooklyn Players Reading Society will be away teaching children about amphibians, so Dave and Becky's new project, Hurry Up and Wait, will share some of their bluesy tunes instead. Emcee Jen Werner will keep things rollin' and visual artist Galen Pittman will once again display his gorgeous oil paintings.
