    The Fieros

    By: Liz Levine
    Rating: 6/11

The Fieros do shameless pop with structures and vocal harmonies so drenched in the sixties that, except for their modern guitar licks, one could easily believe they were of that era. They combine that formula The Kinks and Beatles mastered so well with some wicked guitar soloing that temporarily lifts their songs from standard, breezy fun. Throughout, they succeed at being catchy as hell, bright, and pleasing; it’s quite easy to dive into a track right away and bop along in full pop abandon.
